This is the story of Anabelle (Ana) and Kevin. It is a coming of age story and maturing with regards to life in general and with their sexuality. It spans three seasons of their life and I couldn’t put it down! Their relationship begins as friends but they become lovers as they become closer and find they have a lot in common. You feel their love, heartbreak, and see their struggle with accepting their sexuality and longing to love and not feel shame. Their friends provide insights into their life and I loved these characters! This is the first book I have read by Fiona Cole, but it won’t be my last!

I started this book thinking it would start off dark and mysterious but instead it started as a high school best friend turned lovers type of story. Usually I'm not a big fan of those but I kept on reading. I'm glad I did! It got better as I read along. The reason I gave it four stars was because I was expecting more with the ending. But the story was amazing!
