Blog Review ~ Faking It by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde

FAKING IT
BY CARLY PHILLIPS & ERIKA WILDE

Confirmed bachelor Max Sterling isn't into rescuing damsels in distress, but when the very tempting Hailey Ellison needs his help, there's only one thing for him to do. Step in and pose as her loving fiancé. Except there is nothing fake about his attraction to her, or how much he wants her beneath him in his bed, moaning his name. But what starts as a sexy, flirty, temporary engagement, quickly becomes something more serious that neither one ever anticipated.

Hailey and Max……. such a cute couple.

Hailey likes Max……Max likes Hailey……..Hailey doesn’t know this……But……Hailey pretends that Max likes her.

Hailey is a professional matchmaker looking for a new space to move her business. Max is her realtor and believes that Hailey is engaged until a chance meeting with a friend, Max realizes that he is Hailey’s “fiancĂ©e”. Now the fun begins for both Hailey and Max.

Faking it was a quick, fun read. Good addition to the rom-com genre; I only wish it had been longer and the relationship had more of a slow burn.

What is not to love about 2 people so blinded to what is right in front of them? Max is the confirmed bachelor but has wanted Hailey since he met her, but with a ring on her finger he kept it professional. Hailey has wanted Max since they met but didn't think Max would ever go for a girl like her...one with curves. Too bad both of them were wrong. This was a fun story with lots of funny times and also seriousness to it. Steady paced and I was able to read it all in one afternoon.
